Responsibilities

• Work closely with paralegals and senior partners to ensure swift action through the civil litigation process
• Attend court proceedings as needed to represent clients
• Keep client files properly organized and up to date
• Divide marital assets, including real estate, when necessary during divorce proceedings
• Draft pleadings, motions, contracts, marital settlement agreements, judgements, and orders for a high volume of cases

Qualifications

• Great negotiation and communication skills, particularly in stressful and emotional situations
• Extra consideration for those with a criminal justice background
• Member in good standing and actively involved with the ABA (American Bar Association)
• Proven record of success in advocating for plaintiffs and defendants
• Bachelor’s degree with a legal background and J.D. degree are required
• Must have the desire to become board-certified in Family Law
• Enjoy taking cases to trial or pursuing aggressive, early settlements
• Must be able to manage a large docket
• Work with and delegate to a large spectrum of personalities
• We represent great parents. You must be equally comfortable advocating for custody for a man or a woman
• Must be comfortable representing parties in CPS cases
• Must be licensed to practice law in Texas

Compensation

• $93,000 – $150,000 Yearly
